Prague's Winter Favourite Stakes ended the season



The horse racing season 2019 in the Czech Republic ended on Saturday, November 9th at Chuchle Arena Prague, the fourth running of Prague's Winter Favourite Stakes (9f, 100 ths CZK) with ten promising 2yo horses was the highlight of the schedule.

Brown colt Suprtupl (9:1), owned by Englicovi a Kulhánkovi, trained by Štěpánka Myšková, became the surprising winner, his jockey Petr Foret won this race already for the third time. Rusel (16:1) finished by three-quarters of lenght second, Swinging Thomas (1,5:1-second. fav.) was by another half of lenght third. All three best placed horses ran only their second lifetime race.

Five times Czech and five times Spanish jockey-champion Václav Janáček won two other races of this raceday and achieved his 194th career double. Alsi trainer Miroslav Nieslanik and owner MUDr. Eva Niselaniková reached two wins during the last part of this year season.

For the first time in his career Adam Florian is jockey-champion 2019 (30 wins), Helena Vocásková defended the title among trainers (26 wins), foreign stable Torsten Raber is owner-champion (1,3 mio CZK).
