The seventieth running of RENOMIA May Stakes (Class A, 1m, 150 ths. CZK) with nine very good mile and mid-distances horses was the highlight of the fifth raceday of this metropolitan season. In a very tight finish of the main race, 4yo colt Cape Freedom (tr. Šavujev, own. Russian Racing Syndicate) after perfect ride of jockey Jaromír Šafář won by neck and half a lenghts ahead of Noble Cliffs and Tropical Bond, when other six horses of the field finished in only four lenghts. Cape Freedom achieved the third lifetime win, the first one in Class A race.
In other races of the day, the best of young riders, 2018 champion David Liška and last year's second vicechampion Adam Florian won by two races.
