Vet Liberte won April Stakes



On Good Friday, April 15, continued this year's racing season in Chuchle Arena Prague. Significantly more spectators than at the premiere saw the program of eight races, which were dominated by the 64th April Stakes (Class A, 9f, 150 ths. CZK, 4yo+) with twelve excellent actors.

After a huge duel in the end, the holder of silver medal from last year's Czech 2000 Guineas, the 4yo gelding Vert Liberte (j. Foret, tr. Török, own. Mr. Jiří trávníček – DS Pegas) won by neck in front of 6yo gelding Pace Man. Vert Liberte reached the second lifetime and Prague's win. Last year's medalists Zariyannka and Torque Power were favorites of April Stakes and took third and fourth place with a gap of six lengths.

The Nieslanik family stable (owner Mrs. Eva Nieslaniková and trainer Miroslav Nieslanik) won two other races on this day, Swiss jockey Sibylle Vogt reached her first Czech win, beginning trainer Jana Manová and owner of Cabrio stable recorded their first wins in career.
