German win at Velká Chuchle Summer Show Jumping

The four-day show jumping event at the Velká Chuchle racecourse attracted numerous starting fields, although the weather was sunny and very hot all day. Velká Chuchle was joined by competitors from all over the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. The competitions took place every day from early morning until evening and despite the tropical temperatures many spectators arrived to enjoy the last weekend of September with their children and families.

In the first two days, competitions were held with lower difficulty, intended for young horses, beginning riders and children, and the whole event culminated on Sunday, when Velká Chuchle Summer Show Jumping started in the afternoon. A total of 33 riders took part of the main competition. With a clean account, they finished exactly 10 pairs, which went on to the final race. There already only five riders finished the difficult show of Croatian builder Eduard Petrovič without penalty points and the fastest time was achieved by the German rider Manuel Prause with the gelding Cadillac. Aleš Opatrný (Samsonite) had better time in his final ride by 3 seconds, but he made a mistake on the penultimate jump, which pushed him to 6th place. The second was placed Karel Polak with Empire 1 and 3rd place belonged to Jiri Papousek with Stakata.

The winner of the Velka Chuchle Summer Show Jumping received, in addition to the financial reward, a special prize given by CPI Hotels, a voucher for two people for a four-day stay at a hotel on the island of Hvar.
