Ramssio a Torque Power the best



The second half of the metropolitan racing season started on Sunday, September 8th. There were nine races ran, with the two most prestigious highlights, 41st CK Martin Tour Prague Stakes and 74th J&T Banka St Leger.

CK Martin Tour Prague Stakes (1m, 600 ths. CZK) is the most important race for 3yo and older mile horses. Listed winner and Group placed Wireless was the favourite (6:10), but finished fourth, when 3yo grey colt Torque Power (j. Radek Koplík, tr. Šavujev, own/bred Valentin Bukhtoyarov) won by 3/4 lenghts ahead of 4yo Sagar (13:1), with 7yo Father Frost (13:?1) third.

J&T Banka St Leger (1m 6f, 600 ths. CZK) is the last and the longiest classic race for 3yo colts and fillies. Evens co-favourite Ramssio (j. Verner, tr. Luka, own. Hrubý) dominated by ten lenghts ahead of Svenson (3:1), only one filly in the field Ile Jones (16:1) placed third.
