Champion's winning seasonal start



On Saturday, June 6, second raceday of the season took place in the Chuchle Arena Prague. The schedule with ten races culminated in J. Mašek Memorial Stakes (Class A, 7f, 150 ths. CZK, 4yo+) and Prof. Michal Memorial Stakes (Class A, 7f, 150 ths. CZK, 3yo c+g), in which the junior champion 2019 Rate has started this year victoriously.

The bay colt Rate (j. Zatloukal, tr. Olhela, own. DS Pegas, 7:10-fav.) won by 1 1/2 lenghts of Joganville iwith Creator third by another three lenghts. Rate achieved the second lifetime win and confirmed the favourite position for Czech 2000 Guineas (28 June).

In thrilling end of Jaroslav Mašek Memorial Stakes won Slovak 6yo horse Chilli Chocholate (j. Florian, tr. Jaroslava Morávková, own. Mostry Senica, 11:1) by necks of Manoamano, Rabbit Havana and Politicum. Last year's jockey-champion Adam Florian ended waiting for his first victory in this season.

Two victories during the day were achieved by the apprentice female rider Denisa Sikorová, for whom they were career's first triumphs, jockey Martin Laube (23rd lifetime double), trainers Allan Petrlík and Radek Holčák and stables Dr. Charvát and Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov.
