The season at the Chuchle Arena Prague has started

On the last Sunday in April, the 2021 horse racing season in the Chuchle Arena Prague was started with a program with three Class A races. Unfortunately, the spectators could not be present at the event, the races from the central czech racecourse could be watched on the internet or Czech TV.

Horse racing season begins, without spectators

With a delay of three weeks, the horse racing season in Chuchle Arena Prague will start this Sunday. Unfortunately, fears of an epidemic situation have been confirmed, spectators are not allowed to enter the complex, however, it will be possible to watch the races on the internet dostihy.tv, where a stream from the whole day will run, or live on the ČT sport channel from 3.30 pm.

The start of the 2021 season will be delayed

Due to the currently valid restrictive measures and uncertain assumptions for next weeks, the beginning of this year's horse racing and show jumping season in the Chuchle Arena Prague will be postponed. The originally planned racedays the 5th and 18th April and the show jumping event 8th-11th April will not take place. April. If it will be possible, the first raceday will take place on Sunday 25 April and the first show jumping races at the next weekend.

Top-favourite Vivienne Wells won Czech St Leger

The hard "covid" racing season 2020 in the Czech Republic ended on Saturday, November 21, when Chuchle Arena Prague organized, without spectators, the final raceday. It culminated in the last, longest classic test, the 75th Czech St Leger. As expected, top favorite Vivienne Wells with two-time German jockey-champion Alexander Pietsch, easily won, the second finished Cote Jardin in front of only one Czech bred horse in field Avignon.

Hard season will end with St leger

All Czech classic races of 2020 will take place! This year's, extremely demanding and difficult season will end in the 75th year of the longest classic St. Leger race at the Chuchle Arena Prague. Its holding on Saturday, November 21, will allow an exemption from the current general restrictive measures granted by the Ministry of Health at the request of the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic. The event must take place without spectators, the total number of which is limited to 150 people.

St Leger postponed, final raceday canceled

Due to the actual order of the Government of the Czech Republic, the 11th raceday (with 75th Czech St Leger) will not take place in the planned date of 25 October. This raceday is postponed now and its taking place will be decided on the basis of further measures of the government. The 12th raceday (14 November) is canceled.

EJC 2020: the Cup for Vincent Cheminaud

Sunday part of the great racing weekend in Chuchle Arena Prague, already in significantly better weather than on Saturday, belonged to the sixth running of the European Jockey Cup with nine jockeys from four countries (for the first time also with female jockey, wild card holder Martina Havelková). The overall winner with 30 points was the Vincent Cheminaud from France, who joined the nomination a few days before the event as a substitute for the injured Christophe Soumillon.

Favorite Opasan won the 100th Czech Derby

On Sunday, September 6, the jubilee 100th Czech Derby took place in the Chuchle Arena Prague, as part of the great ceremonial program. It could not be organized traditionally in June, but it took place at the latest in its long history. With total prize-money 2 mio CZK it is the richest flat race in Central Europe. 13 three-year-old colts and three fillies took part in the start, in this season undefeated Slovak colt Opasan was the favorite.
