The second half of the metropolitan season was launched on Sunday, September 2nd at Prague-Velká Chuchle racecourse and two important races (CK Martin Tour Prague Stakes and Czech St Leger) were the highlights of the schedule. Both races were won by excellent fillies.

The second part of metropolitan horse racing season begins on Sunday, September 2nd, the first of eight races starts at 1 p. m. CK Martin Tour Prague Stakes for the best mile horses and the longiest classic Czech St Leger are the highlights of the schedule.

The filly Blessed Kiss and jockey Wladimir Panov suprisingly won The 98th CPI PG Czech derby (12f, 2,5 mio. CZK), with the German guest Poldi's Liebling second by a neck and Mon Cheri third by another two lenghts.

The ČT sport channel broadcasts the Sunday's Czech Derby at 4.50 pm live (10 minutes). The TV report of all raceday will be broadcast on Friday, June 29 (8 pm) and on Sunday, July 1 (at 1.45 pm).

Brown colt Saul won the main race of the eighth raceday at Prague racecourse, 66. Velká červnová cena (Trial for Czech derby, Class A, 11f, 135 ths. CZK).

8-y-o gelding Iraklin (jockey Jaromír Šafář, tr. Filip Nouberg, own. Karin-Neuberg) became the winner of the main race of PMU raceday (Longchamp Handicap, Class B, 7f, 90 ths. CZK) at Prague-Velká Chuchle on Thursday.

Six-years-old gelding Ideal Approach won the highlight of the sixth raceday at Prague racecourse, May Stakes (Class A, 1m, 135 ths. CZK) and reached the first win in Prague.

Top-favourite Sagar and British jockey Jack Mitchell won the second classic race of the season, Czech 2000 Guineas (97. Velká jarní cena Pražské plynárenské).
