The most important trial race for Czech Derby, 67th Auto Jarov Kunratice June Stakes (Class A, 11f, 150 ths. CZK) with field of fifteen horses was the highlight of the sixth raceday of this season at Prague-Velká Chuchle racecourse, on Saturday, June 1st.

The seventieth running of RENOMIA May Stakes (Class A, 1m, 150 ths. CZK) with nine very good mile and mid-distances horses was the highlight of the fifth raceday of this metropolitan season.

The first part of Classic Triple Crown - Czech 2000 Guineas / 98th Velká jarní cena Pražské plynárenské (Class A, 1m, 600 ths. CZK) - was the highlight of the fourth raceday of this season at Prague-Velká Chuchle racecourse.

Vodafone and Czech leaders (14th Jaroslav Mašek Memorial) Stakes (Class A, 7f, 150 ths. CZK) with quality field of thirteen horses was the highllight of British Racing Green Day at Prague-Velká Chuchle racecourse.

The 30th Prof. Václav Michal Memorial Stakes (Class A, 7f, 150 ths. CZK), trial race for Czech 2000 Guineas, with eight 3yo colts was the highlight of Easter Monday at Prague Velká Chuchle racecourse.

Current situation with betting: because the betting company TOTO CZ is waiting for new license from Ministry of Finance, so bets cannot be run at the racecourse.

Horse racing season 2019 was opened on Sunday, April 7th at Prague-Velká Chuchle racecourse with huge crowds of visitors. Traditional races Gomba handicap and Factoring České spořitelny April Stakes were highlights of the day, both with record times of their winners.

Three owners used February date of additional entries to Czech Derby and two other races of Classic Triple Crown.

Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Toman took over personal patronage over the Czech Derby, which is the most prestigious classic event of the 2019 horse racing season and the richest classic race in Central Europe, with total prize-money 2 mio. CZK (77 ths. EUR). Czech Derby will take place at the Prague racecourse on Saturday, June 22nd.

On Thursday January 24th, the first round of entries for this year's classic races was closed. In the 99th Czech derby, the prestigious race for the three-year colts and fillies, 41 horses are heading. Czech derby with a total prize-money of two million CZK is the richest Central European classical race and it will take place at Velká Chuchle racecourse on Saturday, June 22nd.
